The name Artian, derived from the words 'Art' and 'Indian', reflects the founder's belief that investment management is both a creative and analytical endeavour, whilst paying homage to the heritage of our founders and the family that made the journey possible.

Meet our team
Aditya Mittal Co-founder of Artian Investments Limited and plays an active role in providing the firm direction. Outside Artian Aditya is the Chief Executive Officer, since February 2021, and Director of ArcelorMittal. He was previously the President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ArcelorMittal.
Following the formation of ArcelorMittal in 2006, Aditya held various senior leadership roles, including managerial oversight of the Group's flat carbon steel businesses in the Americas and Europe, in addition to his role as CFO and membership of the Group Management Board. He sees climate change as ArcelorMittal's top strategic issue and wants the Company to lead the decarbonization of the steel industry.
In 2008, Aditya was named 'European Business Leader of the Future' by CNBC Europe and was ranked fourth in Fortune magazine's '40 under 40' list in 2011. He is an active philanthropist with a particular interest in child health. Together with his wife Megha, he is a significant supporter of the Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital in London, having funded the Mittal Children's Medical Centre, and in India, the couple work closely with UNICEF, having funded the first ever country-wide survey into child nutrition, the results of which are being used by the Government of India to inform relevant policy.
Aditya serves on the boards of ArcelorMittal, Aperam, and Iconiq Capital and is Chairman of ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India and Chairman of HMEL. He is also a trustee at Brookings Institution, a member of Harvard University's Global Advisory Council.
Aditya holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics with concentrations in Strategic Management and Corporate Finance from the Wharton School in Pennsylvania, United States.
Amit is co-founder & Chief Investment Officer of Artian and has overall responsibility for the firm, including managing the investment teams and the execution of the investment mandates. Amit chairs the Investment Committee and sits on the board of Artian's regulated investment fund platform.
Before co-founding Artian Investments, Amit spent 18 years at Fidelity International where he was portfolio manager for the firm's award-winning global equity strategy managing both institutional and retail mandates for clients worldwide.
Amit started his career as a staff accountant with KPMG before becoming an analyst with Salomon Smith Barney (Citigroup).
Amit has a Master's in commerce and economics from the University of Mumbai, India, is a CFA charter-holder as well as an ACA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants, India.
David manages fixed income portfolios and is a member of our Investment Committee. He contributes to the team's research efforts in private markets.
Before joining Artian Investments, David was a portfolio manager and credit analyst at Gordian Knot Limited, (manager of Sigma Finance Corporation and Theta Corporation). While there David covered a range of fixed income products, from corporate bonds to structured finance securities. Previously he worked at Dexia Municipal Finance as a credit analyst.
David holds a BSc in Economics from USTL in Lille, France and is a CFA charterholder.
Jakub joined Artian in 2022 and is a senior analyst for private equity fund investments and a non-voting Investment Committee member. Jakub's contribution to Artian's research extends to direct private equity and real estate.
Before joining Artian Investments, he worked at LK Advisers, a UK based regulated investment manager acting on behalf of a family office, and PGIM focusing on real estate equity and debt funds and other financing solutions. He managed a variety of transactions in several jurisdictions in Europe.
Jakub has a BA in Economics and Eastern European Studies at University College London and an MPhil in Real Estate Finance at University of Cambridge. Jakub is a CFA charterholder.
Michal Kemp joined Artian in 2021 and specialises in private equity investing across direct, co-investment and fund opportunities. He is the portfolio manager to Artian's fund of private equity funds and a member of the Investment Committee.
In addition to his responsibilities at Artian he is a director, investment manager and head of private equity and real estate investments at LK Advisers Limited, a UK based regulated investment manager acting on behalf of a family office. He has been with this firm since 2006. Throughout his tenure there, Michal has managed PE fund of funds, PE co-investments and directs, Real Estate co-investments and direct, fund of hedge funds and long-only equity portfolios. He has also held senior management roles.
Before joining LK Advisers, Michal's roles encompassed portfolio manager and investment committee member at Integrated Asset Management, where he managed global multi-strategy and fixed income portfolios. Portfolio manager and research analyst at Key Asset Management Limited (SEB) in London, where he was assistant portfolio manager of the firm's flagship global multi-strategy portfolio. He was also lead portfolio manager of a Pan-Asian multi-strategy and equity long/short portfolio.
Michal has a BSc in Management and a MSc in European Studies from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), University of London. He holds CAIA (Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association) designation.
Parul joined Artian in 2022 and specialises in private equity and mergers and acquisitions. She is portfolio manager for the direct private equity fund and a member of the Investment Committee.
Before joining Artian Investments, Parul worked for Mittal Investments [or a number of family office entities] for 16 years in various senior roles, including head of M&A, focusing on shareholder value creation, operational and financial excellence and also advising on the purchase and sale of companies as part of the private equity investment portfolio. Parul has also worked in corporate finance focused on M&A and restructuring across diverse industries globally, while at KPMG India.
Parul is an alumnus of The London School of Economics & Political Science. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a BA in Economics.
Riccardo joined Artian in 2022 and specialises in hedge fund and mutual fund manager selection and is a member of the Investment Committee. Riccardo also contributes to the team's research efforts in private markets.
Before joining Artian Investments, Riccardo worked at Fidelity International's Multi Asset Group in London. There he held various positions including co-portfolio manager of multi-manager programmes and senior research fund analyst. He was an investment analyst at Stamford Associates, a London-based independent investment consultancy firm. He also worked at Belgrave Capital Management specialising in the research and selection of external advisors and discretionary managers.
Riccardo holds a BA in Business and Economics at Universita' degli Studi di Bar, Italy. He is currently a non-active member of the CFA Institute.
Steffen is a portfolio manager of the global equities fund and is a member of the Investment Committee. He contributes to our private market efforts across sectors.
Steffen has over twenty years of financial markets experience including serving as portfolio manager at Fidelity International, where he launched and managed an award-winning long-biased European equity fund. He also co-launched a global long/short equity fund, Fidelity's first equity absolute return fund. He previously served as an assistant portfolio manager, Industrials team leader and lead shorting analyst. Steffen has also worked at a long/short equity hedge fund and has extensive private investing experience. He started his career in M&A in New York City.
Steffen holds a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Columbia Business School, where he graduated with distinction from the Value Investing Program.
Sujay specialises in public equities and contributes to our private market efforts in technology, healthcare and industrials. He is a member of Artian's Investment Committee.
Before joining Artian Investments, Sujay was senior investment manager at Pictet's Total Return Sustainability Fund. He spent 12 years at Fidelity International, six of them as portfolio manager in US equities. He was also lead analyst in US technology, global diversified financials and European industrials.
Sujay has an MBA in Analytical Finance from The University of Chicago's Booth School of Business and a Masters in Manufacturing Management from Pennsylvania State University. He holds a Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.
Alexander joined Artian in 2023 and is Chief Operating Officer and Co-Chair of the Risk and Compliance Committee. He is responsible for all activities outside the investments function including governance, 3rd party service provider management, operations, product, compliance, risk, IT and financial reporting.
Before joining Artian Investments, Alexander was Chief Operating Officer at International Asset Management Limited and Vice President, Senior Product Manager at ABN AMRO Asset Management. Alexander has spent over 20 years in the asset management industry and held a broad range of responsibilities including product development and management of UCITS funds and AIFs.
Alexander has a Bachelor of Arts: Social Science and Communication from the University of Southern California and a Masters in Business Administration from the Rotterdam School of Management.
